Sunny Sweeney has been entertaining fans at Billy Bob’s Texas for more than a decade. Born in Houston, Texas, Sunny started her music career in Austin. She gained a following on the club circuit before releasing her debut album, Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame, which produced three regional singles on the Texas Music Chart.
In 2010, the lead-off to her second studio album, “From a Table Away,” became her first single to chart in the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
Sweeney’s fourth studio album, Trophy, was released in 2017. There are quite a few cuts on “Trophy” that have that fun and spicy side to the singer, such as the quite outspoken title cut, a track that one gets the feeling that Loretta Lynn could have pulled off quite easily.
Sunny Sweeney has a traditional sound with sassy lyrics and attitude. She’ll take the stage on Saturday, June 9th – stepping in for Wade Bowen who is under doctors orders for Vocal Rest.
Tickets are $10 at billybobstexas.com or in person at the Billy Bob’s Texas box office.
(Ticket buyers for Wade Bowen will be refunded at point of purchase AND ticket holders will get free admission to Sunny Sweeney at Billy Bob’s Texas – June 9th)
