Lone Star Murder Mystery Dinner and Show
Murder Mystery Dinner Show at Billy Bob’s Texas 81 Club: Dismay In A Manger
Doors / Dinner 7:00 PM
Show at 8:00 PM
Cast of Characters:
Marshal Jim Courtright – is our likable lawman who does his best to maintain law and order in a rowdy frontier town. Mayor Yates has cast Jim in the role of Joseph for the Christmas pageant and he’s very excited about being a part of it, regardless of the terrible script.
Reverend Rudolph – is the town’s reluctant Reverend who would rather check into the resort spa than answer another needy knock at the parsonage door. Forced into directing the Christmas pageant by Mayor Yates, this high strung Reverend is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. How did the Mayor force our Reverend into managing this “manger of madness?” Just what does he hold over the Reverend?
Jubal Tucker – is a stagecoach driver who seems to have left quite a past on that stagecoach trail. He’s unusually well educated for someone who’s been driving a stagecoach all his life. Cast as the pageant’s talking donkey, Jubal is anxious to ditch the donkey act and deliver his own message about the gross inaccuracies in the pageant script.
Holly – is the town’s hardworking Madam and owner of “Miss Holly’s House of Happiness.” She is determined to make the Mayor reconsider the role he has given her in the Christmas Pageant. Already frustrated by the Mayor’s persistent addition of new taxes on her business, Holly may be on the verge of offering the Mayor her “farewell my love” special…for free.
Carolyn Yates – learned to climb the social ladder — no matter the sacrifice. She has contrived to get the right husband, join the right society and host the right socials. However, all that social ladder climbing has left little time for her “passions.” Upset over her role in the Christmas pageant, Carolyn is about to learn that every decision in life comes with a price.
Show Description:
There are sounds of the holiday season dancing upon the evening air, Christmas carols being sung by a choir, sleigh bells ringing on the horses passing by, and fighting in the town square. What!? Oh no, there is dismay in the manger at the annual Christmas Pageant rehearsal. Mayor Rufus Yates has written a horrible holiday havoc and he’s cast the show in a manner that has everyone’s secrets at risk. Was Mayor Yates trying to roast more than chestnuts when he assigned the roles to this cast of Wild West misfits? Perhaps he is attempting to deliver his own yuletide ultimatum with this preposterous pageant. His outlandish interpretation of the Christmas story is destined to ruin more than one reputation. It seems the Mayor is trying to tell someone you cannot run from your past, especially if it just arrived on the last stagecoach. So join our perilous pageant posse and help our hero, Marshal Jim Courtright, sort through his list of who’s been naughty or nice. This is one interactive murder mystery dinner experience that will put the “Ho Ho Ho” into your Holidays!
