Mike Ryan made his first Saturday night appearance here at the World’s Largest and it was a party from the start. El Gabacho catered the show and prior to his set Mike visited with about 75 energized fans. He played for over an hour and a half capped off by signing his logo that went up on the wall in the green room backstage.
Lee Brice and crew made another stop by BBT and had a busy day scheduled. They arrived with 3 buses and two semis for the show. Lee saw around 50 fans for a pre-show M&G before playing for ninety minutes for everyone in attendance.
Blues Traveler had a very laid back day while here as everyone just kind of hung out and lounged around all day in backstage. They performed for over 75 minutes for their fans.
Roger Creager hit the ground running as he came straight to Billy Bob’s around 10pm to perform for nearly two hours for all of his fans. He hung around the next day to shoot a Ford commercial.
Pesado was another cultural influx and with three other bands (David Lee Garza, Robert Pulido & Carlos y Los Cachorros) made it an all day influx of cultural music, which began at 7:15 and went until midnight.
Kane Brown made his debut here at the World’s Largest Honky Tonk and had a very busy day indeed. He left right after soundcheck to go to FYE at the Irving mall for a signing, upon arrival back at BBT he held a one hundred and eighty person M&G in the showroom, and was immortalized at BBT by having his hands set in concrete. He performed for nearly two hours for this special “ACM Lifting Lives” show. A portion of each ticket was donated to the ACM Lifting Lives Foundation, which develops and funds music-related therapy and education programs across the United States.
Stoney LaRue one of our favorite red dirt sons came back to Billy Bob’s and held an intimate M&G for around 10 lucky fans prior to his show. He entertained the crowd for over two hours with a special guest appearance by Austin Allsup from NBC’s the Voice and Team Blake.
