OFFICIAL RULES OF THE “YEAR-LONG HONKY TONK” CONTEST.

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE ENTRANT’S ODDS OF WINNING. THIS CONTEST IS OPEN ONLY TO NATURAL PERSONS WITHIN THE 50-MILE RADIUS OF BILLY BOB’S TEXAS AND WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

CONTEST NAME: YEAR-LONG HONKY TONK

SPONSOR and ADMINISTRATOR: The sponsor and administrator of the Contest is Billy Bob’s Texas, 2520 Rodeo Plaza, Fort Worth, TX 76164 (the “Administrator”). Administrator may be sometimes referred to herein as the “Contest Entity.” Administrator will conduct the Contest substantially as described in these Official Rules. By participating in the Contest each entrant agrees as follows:

ENTRY PERIOD: The Contest begins at 3:00PM on April 1, 2016 and will run until 11:00PM May 1, 2016.

METHOD OF ENTRY: Enter the Contest via the World Wide Web by visiting Billy Bob’s Facebook page and filling out the provided form complete with age, email address, age and zip code.

If, in the Administrator’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if a computer virus, bug, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical difficulties, or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest, and/or the Contest is not capable of being conducted as described in these Official Rules, the Contest Entity shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to void any entries submitted fraudulently, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest. Contest Entity reserves the right to prosecute any fraudulent entries to the fullest extent of the law.

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to natural persons who are within a 50-mile radius of Billy Bob’s Texas and those who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Contest may only be entered from and in eligible jurisdictions. The Contest Entity and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Contest including, without limitation, the immediate family members and/or those persons living in the same household of such individuals, are not eligible to participate. In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant, each entry will be declared made by the holder of the social media account used at time of entry.  By entering the Contest, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges which are final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest.

SELECTION OF THE WINNER(S): All eligible and correct entries will be entered into a draw.  The prize winner(s) will be selected on May 2, 2016 in a random drawing from among all eligible and correct entries received. The drawing will be conducted by Administrator, whose decisions and interpretations on all matters relating to the Contest and these Official Rules are final and binding in all respects.  Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.  The Administrator’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. The potential winner will be notified through Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and must meet all eligibility requirements. In the event a winner declines a prize or fails to return any completed documents and releases as required, Administrator may elect, at its discretion, to select an alternate winner by random drawing.

The Administrator may announce/publish a prize-winner’s first name on social media channels and in any marketing associated with this promotion. By entering this competition, entrants consent to such disclosure should they be a prize winner(s).

One winner will receive a year’s worth of concert tickets pending availability along with additional entry for a guest.

The prize must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. The Administrator reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value.

PUBLICITY, PRIVACY & PRIZE NOTIFICATION: Except where prohibited by law or regulation, by submitting an entry, entrant grants the Administrator a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use his/her name, character, photograph, voice, and likeness in connection with the promotion of this and other Contest, and entrants waive any and all claims and/or rights to receive any royalties or other compensation for the Administrator’s use thereof, unless prohibited by law. Entry into this Contest may require entrant to enter its email address and certain other personal information.  Entrants are informed that the personal data collection in connection with this Contest will be collected by Administrator’s servers and computer systems, which are based in the United States and such collection will therefore be subject to applicable United States laws.  You may withdraw your personal data upon request; however, you will be disqualified as an entrant in this Contest if you withdraw your personal data prior to the determination of the winner and fulfillment of the prize.  Entrants agree that the Administrator may disclose to third parties all personal information obtained from entrants and use such information for marketing and other purposes. The winner may be required to complete, sign, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability waiver and a publicity release, which must be returned, properly executed, within three (3) days of issuance of prize notification. If a winner is under eighteen (18) years of age, the affidavit of eligibility/liability release and publicity release must be executed by the winner and one or both parents or legal guardians, depending upon the state of residence of the winner.  If these documents are not returned properly executed, or are returned to Administrator as undeliverable, or if any given prize winner does not otherwise comply with the Officials Rules, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

GENERAL CONDITIONS/RELEASE: The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is governed by the laws of the United States of America. The submission of an entry is solely the responsibility of the entrant. By participating, entrants (a) release Contest Entity, and each of its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees, from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by participation in the Contest, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or nonuse of the prize that may be awarded; and (b) acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to a prize including, without limitation, the prize quality or availability. Neither the Contest Entity nor any service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data or voice transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or Website or to complete a telephone call or facsimile transaction, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost or misdirected mail, or any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or television related to or resulting from participation in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, TAMPER WITH THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL(S) AND TO PURSUE ALL REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Contest Entity’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of being executed as planned, or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of entrants, technical failures or any other causes which in the opinion of and/or Contest Entity, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Contest Entity reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any suspect entry or entrant and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, the determination of the winner will be made, from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the termination, cancellation or suspension, as Contest Entity determines in its sole discretion. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.

    The bronze statue of Billy Bob Barnett’s mentor, Benny Binion, disappeared during the night after Billy Bob’s closed in 1998.  It is now on display at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas.

  • Filming of Pure Country

    During the filming of Pure Country, a disguised George Strait and his wife Norma, came to Billy Bob’s with members of the film crew. They celebrated in Billy Bob’s VIP room.  Billy Bob's bathroom was used for a small scene in the movie.

  • Billy Bob’s is known for discovering new talent

    Billy Bob’s is known for discovering new talent.  In one weekend in 1982, it paid Reba McEntire $3,500 on a Friday, and George Strait $4,500 on a Saturday – a fraction of what those performers command today.

  • Willie Nelson played over 50 times

    Willie Nelson has played over 50 times at Billy Bob’s Texas.  One of his fondest memories is riding a horse into the showroom.  In 2004, Willie brought his 4th of July picnic to Cowtown, drawing an estimated crowd of 10,000.

  • Tanya Tucker

    When Tanya Tucker was asked what she wanted on her tombstone, she replied “She’s not here, she’s playing at Billy Bob’s."   Tanya has been a 30-year friend of the club, delivering dynamic performances every time she stops by.

  • Chris LeDoux at his first Billy Bob’s show

     LeDoux, a former rodeo cowboy who had worked on the labor list for Billy Minick, said at a CMA Event "My name is Chris LeDoux and someday I'm going to get to play Billy Bob's".  In January of 1992, he arrived to play his first Billy Bob’s show in a motor home with a small equipment trailer.

    Martina McBride first came to Billy Bob’s as a t-shirt sales person for Garth Brooks.  Her husband was in Brooks’ production crew. 

  • Troy Aikman on-stage with Shenandoah

    Troy Aikman once jumped on-stage with Shenandoah in the 90’s to sing a version of ‘Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys’.  Troy was a regular fixture backstage and a good friend of the club.

  • “Black & Black, Back to Back”

    Clink Black played the Tarrant County Convention Center and Billy Bob’s booked his brother, Kevin Black.  The show drew a large crowd suspecting Clint might show up at his brother’s performance.  He didn’t, and the next day’s paper read “Black & Black, Back to Back."

  • Shooter Jennings

    Shooter Jennings used to attend the club with his father, Waylon Jennings and his mother, Jessi Colter, as a child.  Shooter has since become an American singer songwriter active in the country music and Southern rock genres.

  • Vanna White plays with Blain Gray Band

    While in town for a taping of Wheel of Fortune, Vanna White stopped in to play tambourine on a few numbers with the Blain Gray Band on the honky tonk stage.
