Comedian Rodney Carrington becomes Billy Bob’s first “adult only” show.
Billy Bob’s Texas celebrates 20 years as the “World’s Largest Honky Tonk” on April 1. The club celebrates 20 years of success with a commemorative book that sells over 10,000 copies. Sara Evans makes her Billy Bob’s debut and the day is chronicled for the book.
The club wins it’s fifth ACM “Club of the Year” award, which is presented to Billy Minick by the one and only Dick Clark.
Chris LeDoux and Dwight Yoakam both make returns to the club after long absences. Chris was recovering from a liver transplant. Dwight was away for 10 years making movies and working on other projects.
Keith Urban makes his debut at Billy Bob’s coming to the stage from the back of the crowd. He stays and plays video games until closing.
